One of the main sources of income for the
farm is beef cattle. We take great pride
in the quality of the angus-based cattle we
produce. Most of our cattle are marketed
through the Hampshire County Cattle Coop
which consists of eight area farmers working
together to produce uniform lots of
quality cattle. We also sell grain fed beef that can be purchased as a whole beef or
you can purchase a side (half) of a beef. This is a great option for those that
want
to be sure where their beef comes from and
have extra freezer space. You can also split
the beef with a friend and get your beef
straight from the farm assuring top quality
beef at a cheaper price than a retail store. The picture to the right is
John III feeding one of the bulls a left over ear of sweet corn. It's a
very simple process....you contact us if you'd like to order, we give you an
approximate date (usually in the winter or spring). Then we take the beef
to the processing plant when it is ready and you pick it up from the processing
house already vacuum packed and frozen. Pay them for the processing and
pay us for the beef and you're all set with your year supply of top quality
angus steaks, roasts and burger. Nothing beats grade A beef and fresh
sweet corn for your next cookout! Give us a call for more details.
These picture below shows a nice heifer calf on a first calf heifer mama. She did a pretty good job for the dry summer that we had this year.
The steer below is one of our own home raised ready for the market. This is how our beef is grain fed for our freezer beef sales.
